Job summary

IRIS Software Group seeks a senior Quality Engineering leader to define and drive QE strategy across multiple product divisions, embedding automation and agentic workflows. Qualifications

• Experience leading quality engineering at scale in a multi-product software organisation.
• Track record moving QE from manual to automation-dominant in complex environments.
• Deep knowledge of automated testing across the stack and AI-assisted testing.

Responsibilities

• Own the global QE strategy across five Product & Engineering divisions and define the destination model for QE across IRIS.
• Lead automation maturity assessment across the estate, baseline current state (including legacy and on-prem) and build evidence for decisions.
• Support defining and transitioning to the right Eng:QA ratio by pod archetype and divisional context.
• Define and own standards for automated testing across unit, integration, contract, E2E, and AI-generated test coverage; integrate with PDLC and agentic workflows.
• Establish the curated E2E capability suite per product line, detailing central ownership vs. pod ownership and maintenance.
• Partner with the Director of Agentic SDLC on QE bootcamps, agentic test generation, and upskilling manual testers toward automation.
• Provide evidence and framing for divisional VPs to lead the QE workforce conversation and plan the transition.
• Lead a small, senior central QE practice and the global QE community of practice across ~170 QA professionals.
• Develop a Quality Engineering career framework aligned with broader engineering frameworks.
• Shape future growth areas: performance, resilience, chaos engineering, and observable signals integrated with customer experience data.
