Quality Engineer (Welding Bias) - AWE Projects

Location: Hybrid – 2 days per week on site (flexible depending on project needs)

Rate: £55‑£60 per hour (Outside IR35)

Clearance: SC minimum, DV eligible

A new opportunity has opened to join a world‑class team delivering highly technical engineering projects at AWE. We're looking for an experienced Quality Engineer with a strong welding background to play a key role in maintaining standards of excellence across complex, safety‑critical work.

The Role

You'll be responsible for ensuring compliance with welding quality standards, overseeing fabrication activities, and supporting both design and delivery teams in achieving best practice in welded construction. Essential Criteria
  • Proven experience as a Quality Engineer
  • Welding Coordinator – BS EN ISO 14731
  • IIW/EWF Welding Engineer or Technologist grade
  • International certification in welding
  • Active SC Clearance (minimum) and DV eligibility
