ALTEN Group is seeking a Junior Quality Engineer to support QA and QC activities within a complex engineering environment. The role collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, procurement and supplier teams to ensure products meet quality standards.

The candidate should hold an engineering degree and have a grounding in quality systems, ISO 9001, ITPs, and inspection processes. This entry-level position offers learning and development across QA, control and supplier quality functions.

Formación

• Understanding of quality assurance and quality control within an engineering environment.
• Experience reviewing technical documentation is advantageous.
• Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and prepare ITPs.
• Awareness of inspection and testing activities.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Quality Assurance & Compliance: support quality management processes, ensure procedures and standards are followed, assist audits and maintain quality records.
• Quality Control: review inspection reports, monitor non-conformances, support root cause investigations, participate in quality reviews and meetings.
• Supplier Quality: assist supplier quality surveillance, review supplier documentation, help resolve supplier quality concerns, support audits.
• Continuous Improvement: identify process improvements, contribute to lessons learned, help reduce defects and improve right-first-time performance.
• Documentation Management: review and maintain quality docs, ensure records are complete, assist in preparing quality reports and metrics.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quality Engineer to support quality assurance and quality control activities within a complex engineering and manufacturing environment.

This role is ideal for an individual with an engineering or quality background who is looking to develop their career within quality management. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and supplier teams to ensure products and processes meet the required quality standards and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Support the implementation and maintenance of quality management processes.
• Ensure compliance with applicable procedures, specifications, and industry standards.
• Assist with internal audits and quality assessments.
• Support the management of quality records and documentation.

Quality Control

• Review inspection reports and quality documentation.
• Assist with the monitoring of non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Support investigation of quality issues and root cause analysis activities.
• Participate in quality reviews and technical meetings.

Supplier Quality

• Support supplier quality surveillance and performance monitoring.
• Review supplier documentation against project requirements.
• Assist in resolving supplier quality concerns.
• Support supplier audits and assessments where required.

Continuous Improvement

• Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement.
• Support lessons learned and quality improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to reducing defects and improving right-first-time performance.

Documentation Management

• Review and maintain quality documentation.
• Ensure inspection and test records are complete and accurately filed.
• Support preparation of quality reports and metrics.

Required Skills:

• Understanding of quality assurance and quality control and experience of doing it within an engineering environment.
• Experience reviewing technical documentation is advantageous.
• Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and doing ITPs.

Required Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, orequivalentmilitary experience.

Desirable Skills:

• Industrial, ideally Nuclear or Oil and Gas quality experience
