Job summary

DCS Engineering in Greater Manchester is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to safeguard product quality from order to dispatch. You will drive QMS compliance, manage non-conformances, and own CAPA with strong ownership of traceability and documentation.

The role focuses on quality management systems, NCR handling, CAPA, and continuous improvement, with close collaboration to production, suppliers and customers in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing quality roles.
• ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor certification.
• Strong knowledge of QMS and quality data.
• Experience with non-conformance handling and CAPA.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Experience with API, ASTM, ASME beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support ISO 9001:2015 and API Q1 QMS maintenance.
• Identify, report and track quality issues with production.
• Own non-conformance process from NCR to close-out.
• Lead RCA using 8D/5 Whys/Fishbone.
• Implement CAPA and verify effectiveness.
• Coordinate inspections and audits.
• Maintain quality documentation and traceability.
• Analyze defect trends and drive improvements.
• Reduce scrap and process variation.
• Collaborate with suppliers and customers on quality.
