Quality Engineer / Inspector – Sellafield, Cumbria

NRL is recruiting on behalf of a leading client in the nuclear sector for an exciting opportunity at Sellafield, Cumbria (CA20 1PG). We’re looking for an experienced Quality Engineer / Inspector to join a major long‑term project.

Role Details:
  • Hours: 38 hours/week (Monday to Friday)
  • Duration: 12 months+ (long‑term frameworks secured)
  • Location: Sellafield, Cumbria

Key Responsibilities & Skills:
  • Provide quality engineering support with minimal supervision
  • Strong technical background in painting, welding, or coating inspection
  • Skilled in LTRs (Life Time Records) and ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans)
  • Coordinate work packs, quality plans, and weekly reporting
  • Maintain high standards in Health, Safety & Quality procedures
Qualifications & Experience:
  • HNC in Mechanical Engineering or ICORR Level 2 / NACE Level 1‑3 (Coatings Inspection)
  • ISO9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification (preferred)
  • Previous experience in the nuclear industry is highly desirable

Security Clearance:
  • BPSS and/or SC clearance preferred, or willingness to undergo clearance
