Contract: Full-time, Permanent

We are a leading manufacturer specialising in precision injection moulded components, supplying high-quality products to customers across the UK and internationally. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a skilled and proactive Quality Engineer to join our team and help drive product excellence and continuous improvement throughout our operations.

As a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. Working closely with production, tooling, and engineering teams, you'll support quality assurance processes, investigate non-conformances, and help develop robust systems to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (ISO 9001 / 14001).
  • Conduct process audits, capability studies, and root cause analysis for production issues.
  • Develop and update control plans, FMEAs, and inspection procedures.
  • Lead corrective and preventive action activities using tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa.
  • Support new product introductions (NPI), PPAP submissions, and validation activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and process performance.
About You
  • Manufacturing or Quality Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years' experience in a quality engineering role within injection moulding or plastics manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of quality tools: FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, CAPA.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally.
  • Six Sigma or Lean qualification.
  • Experience with CMM, vision systems, or automated inspection.
  • Exposure to aerospace quality systems.
