Role: Quality Engineer - Food Industry

Location: Liverpool

Salary: £55,000 per annum

Hours: 42 hours per week / Monday to Friday / Days

Overview

Gi Pro is recruiting for a Food Safety Specialist to join our manufacturing team based in Liverpool. This is a key role focused on quality control and ensuring compliance with internal and external food safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the face and leader for all food safety matters, driving quality and compliance.
  • Conduct self-inspections to maintain high standards of work.
  • Build strong relationships internally and externally to challenge and support food safety initiatives.
  • Identify and address gaps in processes, products, or standards that could impact your department.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Evaluate products from a food safety perspective during development phases or when changes are introduced.
Person Specification
  • HACCP Level 4 qualification with relevant industry experience.
  • Highly experienced in leading audits (internal and external).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • PCQI Certificate preferred.
  • Extensive background in Quality Management.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure in performance-driven environments.
