Job summary

Quest Technical Ltd is recruiting an experienced Quality Engineer to join the team in Oxford. You will apply your expertise in lean manufacturing, inspection techniques, and quality control to support manufacturing processes.

The role requires at least 5 years as a Quality Engineer, ability to train staff, and experience with 8D/5Why. Preferred: PC-DMIS programming and CMM knowledge. On-site role with parking and benefits to be confirmed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer.
• Ability to train employees in quality related subjects.
• Sound knowledge/experience of inspection techniques.
• Ability to interpret complex mechanical drawings and determine measuring methods.
• Experience to produce credible inspection reports and related documentation.
• Strong project management and liaison with customers and suppliers.
• Experience with non-conformances and customer complaints through 8D/5Why.
• Experience creating Quality Control Plans/LTQRS for customer projects.
• Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship completed.

Quality Engineer

Our esteemed client was established in 1968 specialises in lean manufacturing, supply chain management and precision engineering to provide total manufacturing solutions. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer to join their business in Oxford.

Key Requirements for Quality Engineer:

• Must have a minimum of 5 years recent experience as a Quality Engineer
• Ability to train employees in quality related subjects
• Sound knowledge/experience of inspection techniques
• Experience to interpret complex mechanical engineering drawings and determine appropriate measuring techniques.
• Experience to produce credible inspection and associated reports.
• Good Project Management and liaising regularly with both customers and suppliers
• Experience required with non-Conformances and Customer Complaints through 8Ds/5Why
• Some experience of creating Quality Control Plans/LTQRS on specific customer projects.
• Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship

Preferred:

• Good knowledge of programming CMMs, supported by a certificate of competence in CMM programming issued by the CMM manufacturer or agent. PC-DMIS programming ability
• PC-DMIS Level 2
• CMM: Hexagon S Chrome with tactile & laser heads
• ISO 9000 Auditor qualification

The successful Quality Engineer will deliver professional quality engineering service to the business with primary focus on Manufacturing Quality control requirements. In return our client are offering an excellent base salary, free on site parking and benefits to be confirmed.

Working hours:

Monday - Thursday 8:00-16:30 and Friday 8:00 - 15:30
