Qualifications

  • Experience with measurement tools like CMM and Shadowgraph.
  • Completion of PSW, PPAP, FAIR submissions.
  • Experience in Plastic Injection Moulding sector preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Measure and inspect new and existing components.
  • Complete ISIR, PSW, PPAP, and FAIR submissions.
  • Manage tooling sample approvals and quality concerns.

Job description

We are proud to be recruiting for a Quality Engineer, for a growing company that supply parts to a variety of customers, they operate from our site in Folkestone and run modern injection moulding machines, they also offer many post moulding processes such as Ultrasonic Welding, Printing, Electronics assembly and Testing.

Customer Service and Quality is at the forefront of everything they do and due to the continuing & rapid growth of the business they are seeking to employ a "Quality Engineer" to strengthen the Team.

Duties to Include:
  • Measurement & Inspection of new & existing components.
  • Completion of ISIR, PSW, PPAP, FAIR submissions according to customer requirements.
  • Completion of IMDS submissions.
  • Management of Approvals of submissions.
  • Management of Tooling sample submissions UK & Global.
  • Generation of Works Instructions.
  • Liaison between Suppliers, Projects Team, Manufacturing & Customers
  • Monthly reporting of Quality performance.
  • Management of quality concerns raised by customers.
  • First-off-Last-off & Patrol Inspection.
  • Goods In/Out inspection.
Previous Experience.
  • Precision measurement of parts using CMM, Shadowgraph and manual measurement tools.
  • Completion of relevant submission requirements (PSW, PPAP, FAIR etc)
  • IMDS submissions (Not essential but would be advantageous)
  • Corrective action plans, improvement & 8D reporting.
  • High level IT skills particularly MS-Office.
  • Experience within the Plastic Injection Moulding sector would be a positive advantage but not essential.

Working hours are 8:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday with a paid break.
