Job summary

A manufacturing company in the United Kingdom is seeking a Quality Engineer to join its quality department. The role involves supporting the Quality Manager, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with standards. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of AS9100 and experience in regulated sectors like Aerospace and Automotive. Qualifications

  • Previous experience working within a quality engineering role focused towards manufacturing and ideally highly regulated parts such as Aerospace, Automotive, Rail.
  • Knowledge of Process flow charts, PFMEA & PPAP.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Quality Manager in maintaining certifications.
  • Conduct product and system audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer-specific requirements.
  • Compile documentation packs to support product delivery and traceability.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine quality standards.
  • Apply First Article Inspection techniques in line with AS9100 requirements.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
  • Use quality tools to detect, contain, and investigate non-conformances, ensuring robust corrective actions are implemented.
  • Define and apply process control methods, including identifying critical control points and developing work instructions.

Skills

Knowledge of machining and fabrication techniques for metal components

Overview

Working in modern, purpose-built manufacturing facilities we now require a Quality Engineer to the join the quality department which consist of Quality Director, Quality Manager, Senior Quality Engineers, Quality Engineers, Quality Inspectors and CMM.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Quality Manager in maintaining certifications.
  • Conduct product and system audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer-specific requirements.

The ideal candidate / Qualifications
