Project Quality Engineer:

They continually invest in and adopt leading-edge technologies across their design facilities and production processes and offer comprehensive support across a range of skills.

Duties
  • Working with the Sales Team to finalise order details, plan, execute, and finalise projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
  • Manage small scale projects, through internal production teams to delivery.
  • Create Project Quality Plans and manage hold/witness points.
  • Conduct incoming and in-process inspections of components and assemblies.
  • Maintain and improve QMS procedures (ISO 9001) and support both commercial and project teams with quality management.
  • Compile lifetime record packs and technical documentation to demonstrate compliance.
  • Collaborate with engineering and purchasing teams to plan builds, track milestones, and manage quality risks.
  • Take part in project meetings and communicate project status to stakeholders.
  • Involvement within project resources including personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Ensure quality assurance processes are implemented throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor and track project progress and handle any issues that arise.
  • Prepare and present reports on project progress, risks, and outcomes to management.
  • Build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stake holders.
Key Skills
  • Good communication – regular communication with management, project team members, customers and sub‑contractors/suppliers.
  • Organisation – ability to multitask, effectively communicate project progress and maintain customer expectations.
  • Attitude – a desire to learn and push themselves and the team forward; opportunities for career progression for candidates who demonstrate the right attitude.
  • Proven experience in Quality Engineering or Project Quality Management within a precision, heavy, aerospace, nuclear or defence manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of fabrication, machining and welding processes and non‑destructive testing (NDT).
  • Experience compiling PPAP, FAIRs and NCR reporting.
Experience
  • Proven experience (3 year minimum) in a Quality project or Quality engineering environment.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office software.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.

£38,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
