Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a Quality Engineer in Alcester to drive corrective actions and process improvements through the manufacturing cycle. The role relies on Excel data, the on-site ERP system and NCR outcomes, with a focus on quality documentation and continuous improvement.

The position offers a permanent role with standard hours and a salary dependent on experience, with opportunities to lead quality activities and audits in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Strong quality engineering experience within a highly regulated industry (Preferably Aerospace).
• Well-versed carrying out a range of product quality activities (root cause analysis/8D’s, dealing with non-conformances, problem solving).

Responsibilities

• Create and control relevant Quality documentation such as Control Plans and Inspection Plans.
• Develop robust, cost effective inspection methodologies using measuring equipment.
• Drive continuous improvement via LEAN events and improve EHS, Quality, Cost and Delivery performance.
• Implement and/or project manage solutions through suppliers/customers and PFMEA activities.
• Participate in internal and external audits.

Job Description

• Create and control relevant Quality documentation such as Control Plans, Inspection Plans, SPC charts, etc.
• Develop robust, cost effective and practical inspection methodologies using appropriate measuring equipment suitable for products throughout the life cycle.
• Develop a continuous improvement “pipeline” of activities by supporting LEAN Events and generating individual ideas to improve EHS, Quality, Cost and Delivery performance.
• Implement and/or project manage problem solutions through working with external suppliers, working with customers, proving out improved technologies and programmes, completing Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) activities.
• Participate in internal and external audits.
