Job summary

A leading technical consultancy is seeking a Quality Design Engineer for a 12-month contract based in Broughton, offering £34 per hour. The role involves driving improvement projects, supporting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions. Overview

Quality Design Engineer – 12 month contract – Based in Broughton – Offering £34ph Inside IR35

Responsibilities
  • Drive and deliver improvement projects in order to support the achievement of the Engineering quality targets
  • Facilitate and support root cause analysis & practical problem solving activities
  • Establish and drive corrective and preventive action plans in order to support the improvement of engineering quality performance and its associated deliverables
  • Identify risks/issues relating to the quality of the engineering deliverable and facilitate, support, and drive standardised mitigation plans in order to prevent/mitigate risk linked to the product and its related processes
  • Support the deployment of Quality standards and apply them within the Engineering organisation
  • Capture lessons learned in order to improve organisation efficiency and product maturity
Your skillset may include
  • Quality and/or Engineering Experience
  • Project Management knowledge
  • Understanding of Failure modes effects analysis
  • Understanding of root cause analysis techniques (e.g. 9S, 8D etc.)
  • Have excellent IT skills as appropriate to the role (Google Workspace/Microsoft Office)
  • Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management and Product Data Management Systems
  • Understanding of Engineering Drawing and Modification management
  • Experience in a Design or Manufacturing Engineering Environment
