Quality Controller – Food Permanent West Malling, Kent Posted 2 days ago Up to £28000 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual that has 1-3 years experience in food quality! The role will be working Monday – Friday, normal office hours!

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Ensure all products leaving our site are top quality by performing in-load, out-load, and stock checks against customer specifications.
• Label and date pallets accurately based on your inspections.
• Calibrate and maintain QA equipment, keeping everything running smoothly.
• Prepare samples to required standards and support pack house operations.
• Monitor stock rotation, shelf life, and storage temperatures, keeping our products fresh and safe.
• Identify potential food safety or quality issues and communicate them to your Line Manager or Tech Director.
• Keep the QA area tidy, including cleaning up pallet straps and corner boards, so the workspace is safe and efficient.
• Attend training courses to continually develop your skills.

What We’re Looking For:

• 1-2 years of QC, food safety, or similar experience.
• A keen eye for detail and passion for quality.
• Working Monday – Friday.
• Strong communication skills – reporting clearly is key!
• Willingness to travel between sites and take ownership of your role.
