Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is looking for a Quality Controller in Stonehouse. Responsibilities include inspecting moulds, conducting visual inspections, and performing batch release reviews, primarily on night shifts. Ideal candidates will have experience in quality control and injection moulding. Excellent attention to detail is essential for this 6-month contract position.

Qualifications

  • Experience in quality control, preferably in an engineering environment.
  • Experience with injection moulding is highly desirable.
  • Confident and competent in role due to limited on-site support during night shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect moulds coming off machines.
  • Conduct visual inspections and measurements of mouldings.
  • Perform batch release reviews.

Job description
Overview

gap-personnel are currently recruiting for Quality Controller for one of the multinational companies in Stonehouse.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for inspecting moulds coming off the machines, conducting visual inspections and measurements of mouldings, and performing batch release reviews. Providing clear handovers to staff on shift changes will also be a key part of the role.

Shifts

Shifts: Sunday to Friday 21:50pm - 05:40am. Training will be conducted on day shift for 1 month, once fully trained will need to move permanently on night shift.

Pay Rate

£14.01 on day shift, raising to £21.01 on night shift

Hours during Training

Hours while on training: Monday to Thursday 07:10am - 16:10pm, Friday 07:10am - 12:10pm

Contract

6-month contract

Key Requirements
  • Strong quality experience, ideally within an engineering environment.
  • Experience with injection moulding is highly desirable.
  • CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) experience is a big plus but not essential.
  • Must be confident and competent in their role, especially as night shifts will have limited on-site support (manager works day shifts).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Interview Process
  • One-stage interview on site.
  • Candidates will receive a site tour followed by an interview.
  • Expect to be on site for up to 1 hour 15 minutes, though it may finish earlier.
