Qualifications

  • Experience working in a similar role.
  • Experience inspecting to IPC 610/620 standards is desirable.
  • Ability to interpret complex schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out QC inspection of a wide range of electro-mechanical products.
  • Ensure all product documentation complies with manufacturing process requirements.
  • Coaching production staff to ensure adherence to procedures and quality standards.

Job description

We’re looking for a Quality Controller to help us maintain the highest standards in our manufacturing department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and hardworking individual to join a busy and fast-paced team.

Poynton has an excellent heritage in Global Defence & Security markets. The team manufacture a wide range of products including Satellite Communication, Power Management Control, Surveillance and Counter-IED equipment’s. Manufacturing and test skills employed include electronic and electro-mechanical assembly, panel / cabinet wiring and testing of the final built assemblies.

This role is on a full time, permanent contract, working 37 hours flexitime across 4.5 days per week.

Some of the main responsibilities include:
  • Carrying out QC inspection of a wide range of electro-mechanical products.
  • Ensure all product documentation complies with manufacturing process requirements.
  • Coaching Production staff to ensure adherence to procedures and quality standards
  • Supporting the QA team in relation to any trending quality deviations
For this role you will need:
  • Experience working in a similar role
  • Experience inspecting to IPC 610/620 standards (desirable)
  • Ability to interpret complex schematics and engineering drawings
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
