Job summary

Ball Corporation in the United Kingdom is seeking a Quality Control Technician (Shift) to join our manufacturing site. You will monitor production lines, analyze quality data, and support CAPA actions to ensure safe, compliant, high-quality products.

Working with production, technical and quality teams, you will drive continuous improvement, participate in trials, and help uphold ISO 9001 and BRCGS standards while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing environments and quality inspection is mandatory/desirable.
• Ability to analyze quality data, trends and performance indicators.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and BRCGS quality standards is desirable.
• Strong Excel skills and SAP familiarity are advantageous.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills across levels of the organization.
• Strong problem-solving, organization, and meticulous record-keeping are required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, record, analyze, and report quality performance data from production lines to support product compliance and process capability.
• Provide data analysis, trend reporting, and investigation support for quality non-conformances and continuous improvement activities.
• Present quality findings to employees at different levels to promote awareness and improvement.
• Support internal production trials, assist with rework control activities, and help validate quality outcomes during process changes.
• Collaborate across departments to investigate and resolve quality issues through CAPA processes.
• Set up and support automated quality vision systems while maintaining accurate quality records and ISO 9001 and BRCGS compliance.

Skills

As a Quality Control Technician (Shift), you will support the day-to-day execution of quality control processes across production operations, helping ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality products for customers. Working closely with production, technical, and quality teams, you will analyze quality performance, identify improvement opportunities, and support corrective actions. Your work will contribute directly to operational excellence, product compliance, and continuous improvement across the site.

What Helps You Thrive In This Role

• Previous experience in a manufacturing role (mandatory).
• Previous experience in quality inspection and control (desirable)
• Strong numerical aptitude and ability to analyze quality data, trends, and performance indicators.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and BRCGS quality standards and requirements is desirable.
• Computer literacy with strong Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with SAP being advantageous.
• Ability to communicate effectively and present quality-related information to employees at different organizational levels.
• Strong problem-solving, organization, record-keeping and attention to details are mandatory.

Working Hours

The rotation is 4 weeks on days and 4 weeks on nights:6 am - 6 pm and 6 pm - 6 am.
Week 1 - Mon / Tues / Fri / Sat / Sun // Week 2 - Wed / Thurs
