Job summary

A leading staffing company in the United Kingdom is seeking a Quality Control Technician for a food manufacturing client in Paisley. This role involves ensuring QC checks on production samples, handling customer certificates, and maintaining laboratory cleanliness. Candidates should have fluency in English and a minimum of one year's experience in food manufacturing or an analytical laboratory, along with an HNC in Food Technology or equivalent qualification.

  • Perform reasonable tasks or duties required by management.

Quality Control Technician

My client is a worldwide organisation based at the Hillington Industrial Estate. They are looking for a Quality Control Technician with a background in the manufacturing/food industry.

Shift: Day shift – 7:30 am to 4 pm (39 hours per week).

Pay: £13.20 per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all production samples are QC checked correctly and accurately against SAP requirements.
  • Communicate and escalated any products deemed out of specification to the site team.
  • Send customer certificates in a timely manner.
  • Weigh out small quantity ingredients for production accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness of laboratory paperwork.
  • Carry out internal audits and inspections.
  • Investigate customer complaints.
  • Perform any other reasonable tasks or duties required by management.
Qualifications
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written, with effective communication skills.
  • Minimum one year’s experience in food manufacturing or analytical laboratory.
  • HNC in Food Technology or a relevant qualification/experience.
