Job summary

A reputable global organization is seeking a Quality Control Technician in Glasgow. The role involves ensuring accurate quality checks, communicating issues with products, and maintaining laboratory standards. Candidates should have experience in food manufacturing and hold an HNC Food Technology qualification or equivalent. The position offers a day shift with a pay rate of £13.20 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year's experience in food manufacturing or an analytical laboratory.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all production samples are QC checked correctly.
  • Communicate products out of specification to the site team.
  • Ensure timely sending of customer certificates.
  • Weigh out small quantity ingredients accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness of laboratory paperwork.
  • Carry out internal audits and inspections.
  • Investigate customer complaints.
  • Perform additional reasonable tasks as required.

Job description

My client is a worldwide organisation with an outstanding reputation based within the Hillington Industrial Estate. We have an excellent opportunity for a Quality Control Technician with a background in Manufacturing/ Food industry sector.

Shift & Pay

You will be working day shift - 7:30am - 4pm = 39 hours per week. Pay rate - £13.20 per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all production samples are QC checked correctly and accurately against SAP requirements.
  • Any products deemed to be out of specification must be communicated & escalated clearly to the site team.
  • Ensure that customer certificates are sent in a timely manner.
  • Weigh out small quantity ingredients for use in production accurately.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the laboratory paperwork.
  • Carry out internal audits and inspections.
  • Investigate customer complaints.
  • Any other reasonable tasks or duties required by management for the role of Quality Control Technician.
Qualifications
  • Fluency of English language, both verbal and written, and able to communicate effectively.
  • Minimum one year's experience in food manufacturing or an analytical laboratory.
  • HNC Food Technology or relevant qualification / equivalent experience.
