Quality Control (QC) Operative - Temporary Contract

Location: Ashbourne, Derbyshire

Hours: Monday to Friday, Days

Pay Rate: £13.20 per hour

Start Date: Ideally week commencing 24th November 2025

Contract Length: 3 months+

About the Role

We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Operative to join our client's team on a temporary basis. In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining the high standards of quality and compliance across all incoming raw materials and ingredients used in the production process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out inspections of all incoming raw materials and ingredients.
  • Perform physical appraisals, label checks, sampling, and documentation verification.
  • Manage sample storage, documentation, and barcoding to ensure traceability and compliance.
  • Support the release of products to production that meet full regulatory and quality standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to uphold site-wide quality assurance procedures.
About You
  • Ideally, you'll have experience working in a quality environment within manufacturing.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
  • Comfortable using IT systems for documentation and record-keeping.
  • A team player with a proactive and flexible attitude.
