Responsibilities

  • Sampling and releasing raw materials and packaging.
  • Providing production teams with accurate manufacturing documentation.
  • Conducting systematic checks during production.
  • Submitting samples for laboratory analysis.
  • Reporting non-compliance and assisting with investigations.
  • Managing batch records and reconciliation.
  • Supporting validation and stability studies.
  • Reviewing returned products and coordinating follow-up actions.
  • Assisting with analytical test requests and label printing.
  • Performing pallet checks and supporting rejection processes.
  • Providing cover for other QC staff.

Location: Animal House, Boundary Road, Lytham, FY8 5LT
Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm (Monday to Friday), with 30 minutes for lunch
Department: Quality
Reports to: Quality Control Manager
Key Relationships: Production, Laboratory, Operations

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Quality Control Officer to join our Quality team at Tangerine Group. This role is essential in supporting production through quality control checks, documentation management, and ensuring GMP compliance. You’ll be working closely with production and laboratory teams to maintain high standards across all manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sampling and releasing raw materials and packaging in line with procedures and acceptance criteria.
  • Providing production teams with accurate manufacturing documentation including batch numbers, expiry dates, and fill weights.
  • Conducting systematic checks during production (start-up, in-process, release, and cleaning) to ensure compliance with SOPs and GMP.
  • Submitting samples for laboratory analysis and applying appropriate status labels.
  • Reporting non-compliance and assisting with investigations into out-of-specification results.
  • Managing batch records, reconciliation, and retain samples.
  • Supporting validation and stability studies
  • Reviewing returned products and coordinating follow-up actions.
  • Assisting with analytical test requests and label printing.
  • Performing pallet checks and supporting rejection processes.
  • Providing cover for other QC staff and being flexible with working hours when needed.
