Quality Control & Labelling Assistant (Night Shift)

Location: Feltham
Shift: Night shift, 00:00-08:00
Contract: Full-time | Permanent or 12-month FTC
Pay: £13.21 per hour

A long-established food manufacturing business is looking for a sharp, detail-driven Quality Control & Labelling Assistant to join its night shift production team. This is a hands‑on role at the heart of food safety, quality, and compliance in a fast‑paced production environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Carrying out quality checks across the production floor to ensure food safety and compliance
• Monitoring and recording temperatures (WIP, fridges, freezers, defrosting, probes)
• Managing sanitisation checks, chlorine levels, and test strip controls for high-risk products
• Overseeing cleaning schedules and hygiene standards
• Performing metal detection checks and product weight verification
• Maintaining detailed QA documentation and submitting weekly reports
• Tracking internal rejects, short-dated and expired stock
• Calibrating scales, probes, air temps, and dishwasher probes weekly
• Printing, managing, and changing over product labels throughout the shift
• Maintaining label printers, coordinating repairs, and managing label stock
• Escalating any food safety or hygiene issues immediately

What We're Looking For

• Experience in quality control or food production (food manufacturing preferred)
• Solid understanding of food safety standards and QA procedures
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong record-keeping skills
• Confident working independently during night shifts
• Comfortable in a fast‑paced, physically active environment
• Good communication and problem‑solving skills
• Basic IT skills (MS Office)
• Food safety qualifications (HACCP, SQF, ServSafe, etc.) are a bonus
