Responsibilities

  • Maintain the lab in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Operate production equipment as required for testing/validation.
  • Perform and document hardness testing and inspections.
  • Assist Quality Assistant / Engineer (QA/E).
  • Practice and promote safety and good housekeeping.

Job Description

Quality Control Inspector - Placement tests may be used to determine suitability for position.

Qualifications
  • 2 year degree in a science field
  • Sound foundation in the use of Excel, Word and Adobe software.
  • Ability to closely follow written instructions.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Prior work in an ISO 9001, AS9100, or TS16949 environment
  • Ability to self start and follow detailed instructions.
  • Preference for CQT certificate.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain the lab in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Operate production equipment as required for testing/validation
  • Perform and document hardness testing, visual, and other in-process/final inspections.
  • Perform and document routine testing of critical equipment. Includes daily, weekly, and other repetitive verifications.
  • Assist Quality Assistant / Engineer (QA/E)
  • Perform weekly department inventory and report shortages to QA/E for replacements.
  • Bring any unusual problem or irregularity to the QA/E’s attention
  • Practice and promote safety and good housekeeping
  • This position will allow for cross-training and development of additional skills in both the manufacturing and quality fields
Growth Opportunities
  • Certification through Metal Treating Institute in heat treating field as a quality and/or technical specialist.
  • Certification through ASQ in Quality related field as an inspector, technician and/or engineer
Work Environment

Non climate-controlled manufacturing environment. Will be hot and cold depending on time of year.
