Job summary

Debenhams Group is seeking an Intake Auditor in the UK to ensure Boohoo Group products meet defined quality standards and comply with markets. You will conduct post shipment inspections, document defects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.

The role involves liaising with production, design, and sourcing, staying updated on regulations, and contributing to ongoing training. This is a fast-paced, collaborative environment within a leading fashion retailer.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in quality control within the fashion or apparel industry.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, textiles, and manufacturing processes.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent observational and analytical skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to product quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct post shipment inspections, and targeted audits generated by returns analysis and customer complaints, of materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet established quality standards, to verify product quality.
  • Identify and document defects, inconsistencies, or deviations from quality standards with clear and concise descriptions.
  • Record inspection results accurately and promptly in designated systems or forms, generating detailed reports for communication.
  • Ensure products adhere to industry regulations, standards, and safety guidelines, staying updated on relevant requirements.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams including production, design, and sourcing to address quality concerns and provide feedback.
  • Assist in identifying root causes of quality issues and work with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in training programs to improve inspection skills, stay updated on quality control practices, and support professional development.

The role:

The Intake Auditor is an important role in ensuring that Boohoo Group products meet defined quality standards set by Product Technology/ Product Safety & Compliance and ensuring that products held out for sale are safe, fit for purpose and legally compliant in the markets in which we retail, by and conducting merchandise inspections and audits and supporting the Senior Intake Auditor on a day to day basis

What you'll be doing:
