A local government council in the UK seeks a self-motivated individual for a part-time role within the Housing service. You will manage cases related to damp, condensation, and mould, ensuring repairs are completed with integrity and innovation. The ideal candidate has experience in reactive maintenance and knowledge of housing regulations. This position offers 18.5 hours per week with a generous benefits package.
Part time role: 18.5 hours per week (Mondays, Tuesdays and alternative Wednesdays).
We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join the Council to play a crucial role within the Housing service to provide technical solutions and support on complex repairs and maintenance issues related to damp, condensation, and mould (DC&M) across our customers' homes.
You will be ensuring that progress of DC&M and disrepair cases is appropriately managed, including accurately diagnosing, specifying orders, and monitoring remedial works through to completion whilst considering all repairs needed.
You will need to demonstrate experience of working in a reactive maintenance environment, with experience and knowledge of housing and property regulations and legislation to enable you to act with integrity and accountability.
The role will require an aptitude for innovation to support our continuous service improvement plans, and you will need excellent customer-focused care skills to ensure they are at the heart of what you do.
