Job Description

Oaklands Global are currently recruiting a Quality / Compliance and Training Manager on behalf of one of our leading aviation clients based in Southeast England. We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee regulatory compliance, while providing expert advice and support to the General Manager to ensure the operation remains safe, effective, and fully compliant.

This is a full-time position averaging 40+ hours per week, with flexibility required to accommodate the needs of the business.

Responsibilities
  • Reports directly to the General Manager.
  • Manages the Quality and Compliance Department.
  • Is responsible for the upkeep and control of the company Quality System
  • Liaises with Regulatory Authorities to ensure a clear line of communication and dialogue.
  • Will represent and present the business to Regulatory Authorities and/or Customer Quality/Compliance teams.
  • Reviews company systems and processes and advises the GM of any risk, deficiencies or opportunity to improve and develop.
  • Guides the business to ensure regulatory compliance, while ensuring continued operation functionality.
  • Must be presented in business attire and in line with company and customer expectations.
  • Must respect company EH & S discipline and expectation.
  • Delivers strategic projects as defined by the General Manager.
  • Carry out continuous improvement investigations and root cause analysis investigations as requested to reduce quality escapes and COPQ.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Carries out any reasonable request made by the General Manager
Requirements
  • Excellent knowledge of Part 145 and Part CAMO regulations
  • Excellent knowledge of UK CAA, EASA & FAA
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Compliance / Quality role
  • Ability to manage and control all staff training requirements.
  • Proven ability of RCA and identifying PMs
  • Must be able to understand business priorities and set own objectives accordingly
  • Proven ability of managing a department or section
  • Proven ability to lead a team
  • Proven ability to coordinate multi-department working
  • Proven ability to coordinate, run and successfully implement projects
  • Excellent understanding of commercial expectations of the business
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel, Word & PPoint applications
  • Able to easily learn new technologies and computer systems
  • Must be methodical and ordered in approach to tasks
  • Excellent knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance tracking and planning
  • A natural planner with a clear focus on safety and high quality
  • Solid problem-solving ability and organisational skills
  • Flexible and able to manage varying demands and workloads
  • Advanced understanding of continuous improvement philosophies
  • Understanding of EH&S practices and policies
  • Knowledge of leadership techniques and human performance
  • Excellent knowledge of human factors, human performance and limitations
  • Knowledge of logistic processes
  • Knowledge of organisational capabilities, privileges and limitations
  • Complete understanding of the maintenance organisation exposition and procedures
  • Complete understanding of occurrence reporting systems (mandatory & internal) and understanding of the importance of reporting occurrences, incorrect maintenance data and existing or potential defects
  • Knowledge of safety risks linked to the working environment
  • Knowledge of Safety Management Systems and Just Culture
  • Understanding of professional integrity, behaviour and attitude towards safety
  • Understanding of conditions for ensuring continuing airworthiness of aircraft and components
  • Ability to confirm proper accomplishment of maintenance tasks
