Job description

WIKA Optical Sensing Ltd, previously known as Oxsensis, was acquired by WIKA in 2023 and brings expertise in optical sensing technology, particularly for pressure and temperature measurement.

Responsibilities
  • Support the business leaders in adherence and running of the Business/Quality Management System (BMS/QMS), in accordance with AS9100 and ISO9001.
  • Support compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental and Sustainability regulation, and product certification and compliance in accordance with CE/UKCA, ATEX, SIL, IPC NADCAP or other standards as required by the business.
  • Support site facilities to maintain a safe and secure workspace for the business and its employees.
  • Support the business in oversight and adherence of the management system in accordance with AS9100 and ISO9001, including associated procedures and forms, to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Support Process Owners in the upkeep and improvement of policies and procedures.
  • Implementation and communication of regulatory and customer quality requirements.
  • Coordinate audit plan for all aspects of the management system and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate calibration and maintenance of equipment to ensure continued compliance.
  • Oversight of incoming and end‑of‑line inspection, to ensure appropriate measurement uncertainty, selection of sampling plans and gauges.
  • Support Supply Chain Manager in audit and compliance of external providers, including external provider audits.
  • Support Health & Safety, environmental and sustainability policies, and associated processes, to ensure ongoing adherence to legislation and protection of employees.
  • Guide cell leaders and lab managers in safe working practices.
  • Understand CE/UKCA and ATEX compliance requirements and provide support to engineering team in demonstration of compliance.
  • Support site/building and facilities upkeep through planned and unplanned maintenance. Coordinate maintenance and repairs with external contractors.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in developing and maintaining a Business Management System, in accordance with AS9100 and/or ISO9001.
  • Able to coordinate and communicate regulatory requirements into business processes.
  • Ability to conduct quality process and product audits.
  • Experience in product and process non-conformance, including Root Cause Analysis and 8D problem solving.
  • Experience in quality control and quality assurance.
  • Ability to programmatically assess risk to implement appropriate levels of control.
  • Experience in use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
Desirable
  • Experience in D365 (Microsoft ERP system).
  • Understanding of LEAN methodologies and waste reduction techniques.
