Job summary

Greencore Heathrow site is hiring a Quality Auditor to monitor CCPs, hygiene, and QA processes across production lines. You will conduct audits, lead investigations, and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with food safety standards.

The role requires familiarity with HACCP, allergen awareness, and microbe risks, with GCSE literacy/numeracy and experience in a food manufacturing environment. Full training provided, with a day shift across five days per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in a food manufacturing environment or similar setting.
• GCSE or equivalent literacy and numeracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, chilled environment.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene practices.
• CCP training including HACCP principles.
• Allergen awareness and microbiological awareness.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and audit CCPs (Critical Control Points), checks and records.
• Audit pre-requisite systems and control procedures as part of the site QMS.
• Audit hygiene of personnel, environment and equipment before and during production.
• Carry out investigative swabs to monitor hygiene and investigate out-of-spec results.
• Conduct internal audits of products and processes and drive continual improvements.
• Perform in-house audits to ensure compliance with procedures.
• Analyze site information to target improvements and track trends.
• Lead investigations and corrective actions for non-conformances or issues.
• Assist with start-up checks and update documents when machinery changes.
• Coach and train factory personnel on food safety and quality systems.

What you'll be doing

As a Quality Auditor:

• Monitor and audit CCPs (Critical Control Points), their checks and records
• Monitor & audit pre-requisite systems and control procedures forming part of the site QMS
• Audit personnel, environment & equipment hygiene standards prior to and during production
• Carry out investigative swabs to monitor hygiene standards and investigate out of specification results
• Conduct internal audits of products and processes to ensure compliance with procedures and standards and continually improve in line with industry best practices & customer requirements
• Conduct in-house audits to ensure compliance
• Carry out trend analysis of site information (non-conformances, complaints, out of spec results, internal foreign bodies etc.) and use to target improvements
• Investigate, communicate & implement corrective action following internal or external non-conformances, or out of specification micro results, nutritional results, customer complaints etc
• Action quality and process improvements, carrying out investigations, traceability, liaising with other departments / suppliers to ensure non-compliances are closed fully & followed up
• Monitor and audit start up checks to ensure issues are resolved within risk assessed & agreed timescales, liaising with relevant departments (taking photo standards, updating documents when new machinery introduced)
• Carry out coaching, training and ongoing education of factory personnel at all levels in relation to food safety & quality systems

What we’re looking for

Full training will be provided if successful in this role but are looking for the following knowledge and experience:

• Ideally experience within a food manufacturing environment or similar environment
• GCSE or equivalent standard in Literacy and Numeracy
