Quality Assurance Technician

Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 (Inclusive of Shift Bonuses)

Do you have Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience in a Food Manufacturing or Packaging business and want to join a secure, rapidly growing business in Manchester that works with major retailers and is receiving continuous investment?

As a QA Technician, you'll be responsible for monitoring, maintaining and verifying Food Safety standards, Quality Systems and overall Product Quality across several lines producing things such as microwave meals and fresh meats.

Key responsibilities:
  • Covering morning to afternoons shifts one week, afternoon to evening shifts the other week
  • Conducting inspections in line with Quality & HACCP plans
  • Monitoring and verifying traceability across the production process
  • Inspecting and testing finished products to ensure conformance to Quality standards
  • Liaising with Production teams to ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Recording and reporting any non-conformances
Ideal candidates will have:
  • Previous experience in QA/QC in Food Manufacturing, either as a Quality professional or gained through a Production role
  • Strong understanding of Food Safety, Food Hygiene and HACCP
