Quality Assurance Specialist – QMS Focus

Location: Huntingdon

A supplier of high-quality metals and materials, the company specialises in the research and development sectors with a strong focus on science and industry. Their technical teams have worked on materials that have contributed to scientific breakthroughs in nuclear fusion, the fight against COVID-19, and have been used in probes that have travelled through space as far as Saturn.

The Role

They're looking for a QA Specialist to help strengthen and evolve their Quality Management System (QMS). You'll work closely with the Group Quality & Regulatory Affairs Manager and play a key role in integrating new systems, managing customer feedback, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and improve their ISO 9001-certified QMS
  • Support integration of acquired quality systems
  • Lead internal audits and assist with external assessments
  • Manage local customer complaints and ensure timely resolution
  • Coordinate responses to customer questionnaires and quality agreements
  • Define and monitor quality KPIs
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Implement change control and maintain compliance documentation
  • Explore new standards that could enhance their capabilities
Skills And Qualifications
  • Experience with ISO 9001 and QMS frameworks
  • Interest in or experience with hybrid systems (e.g., aerospace, medical devices, reference materials)
