A family-run food business in Fleckney is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor / Lead to oversee their QA team and enhance their commitment to quality and safety. The successful candidate will lead a team, manage audits, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, along with a focus on continuous improvement. This is a site-based role from Monday to Friday, 8-5, with flexibility required.

About the Role

Are you an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) professional with a passion for driving continuous improvement and leading a team to success? We’ve partnered with a specialist family‑run food business that is experiencing phenomenal growth to find a talented Quality Assurance Supervisor / Lead to join their team and champion their commitment to quality and safety.

The Quality Assurance Supervisor / Lead will report to the Technical Manager and oversee and lead a team of QAs working closely with production and NPD teams to uphold the highest standards across the business.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of QA professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Champion a quality‑first mindset across the entire organisation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing effective preventative measures.
  • Own quality control procedures, ensuring they align with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Manage audits and inspections, taking ownership of corrective actions and improvements.
  • Oversee all testing protocols, including microbiological and chemical schedules, and ensure complete traceability.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints with a professional and timely approach.
  • Assess and approve raw materials and equipment to guarantee they meet our stringent quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Proven people‑leadership experience in a QA environment (food manufacturing).
  • A self‑motivated individual with a strong continuous improvement mindset.
  • Advanced knowledge of Food Safety and risk assessment.
  • A collaborative leader with excellent communication skills.

This is a Monday – Friday site‑based role, 8‑5 with flexibility required.
