About the Role

Victrex, a global leader in high-performance polymer solutions, is actively seeking an experienced and diligent Quality Assurance Officer. The officer will uphold exceptional quality standards and ensure the continual satisfaction and safety of customers across automotive, aerospace, and medical markets.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the officer will plan, execute, and report on validation activities internally and in collaboration with suppliers and customers. The role also involves participating in audits and liaising with internal and external customers or third parties to ensure quality assurance compliance.

Responsibilities

As the quality lead on project teams, the officer will manage compliance for relevant products throughout their full lifecycle. Key duties include approving product batch releases from a quality perspective, defining, managing, and implementing plans to achieve quality assurance compliance for products and processes, and managing customer complaints. The officer will implement corrective and preventive actions, conduct root cause investigations using established industry-standard methodologies, and support the assigned manufacturing plant or area in promoting operational excellence and adherence to quality and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry, ideally manufacturing, automotive, or aerospace.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and auditing to a minimum standard of ISO 9001.
  • Preferably, experience with systems compliant to AS/EN9100 or IATF16949.
  • Degree in a relevant Science or Engineering discipline or equivalent related experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, proficient computer skills, and excellent communication skills.
