An esteemed educational institution in the UK is seeking a part-time academic quality assurance officer to support the Department's academic programmes. Responsibilities include advising course directors on regulations, servicing committees, and maintaining policy registers. Ideal candidates will have an undergraduate degree and experience in academic administration, demonstrating strong organizational and communication skills. This role focuses on quality assurance processes for the Department's academic programmes. Key features include advising course directors and their teams on academic regulations for new courses and course changes, servicing the Department's main academic committees, maintaining registers of policies and guidelines, and servicing course reviews.
You will be extremely well organised, and able to work independently while contributing to different teams. You should be able to assimilate and communicate complex information and have proven experience in servicing committees efficiently and effectively. Educated to at least undergraduate degree level, you will ideally have experience of working within academic administration in higher education, and prior work with academic regulatory frameworks would be especially helpful. You should also be proficient in office IT applications, have excellent interpersonal skills, and a have flair for producing concise, accurate and informative formal documents.
