Job summary

Thales Group in Templecombe is seeking Quality Assurance Managers to support programme delivery, represent the voice of the customer, and drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement. You will work with project teams, customers, suppliers and leaders, ensuring quality informs decisions across the project lifecycle in a highly visible role.

The role offers hybrid working (3 days on-site), opportunities for professional development, CQI membership, and training including Lead Auditor

Qualifications

  • Experience in quality assurance, regulated, or continuous improvement environments.
  • Qualified auditor status or equivalent auditing experience.
  • SC Clearance required or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the customer's representative within project and bid teams to maximise customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor, analyse and report quality performance to support project delivery.
  • Encourage and develop best practice across programmes and functions.
  • Identify risks, opportunities and areas for continuous improvement.
  • Plan and conduct project audits and surveillance activities in line with Project Quality Plans and audit strategies.
  • Promote a positive quality culture throughout the business.

Quality Assurance Managers at Thales play a critical role in supporting programme delivery, representing the voice of the customer and driving a culture of quality and continuous improvement. You'll work closely with project teams, customers, suppliers and business leaders, helping to ensure that quality remains at the heart of decision-making throughout the project lifecycle. What Will Your Day Look Like?
  • Reporting to the Quality Manager, you\'ll be responsible for: Acting as the customer\'s representative within project and bid teams to maximise customer satisfaction.

  • Sound knowledge of current quality standards, practices, and methodologies.
  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and certification requirements.
Desirable
  • Quality assurance experience within project, design, engineering, or manufacturing environments.
  • Proven experience collaborating across multi-functional teams to drive quality improvements.
  • Qualified auditor status or equivalent auditing experience.
Security Clearance

This role will require SC Clearance. It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant will undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance. Please visit the UKSV website for further guidance. To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years\' residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
