Job summary

Masdar is seeking a QA/QC professional to support the Dogger Bank South Project, delivering quality assurance across development, procurement, fabrication, construction and handover. You will work with managers, inspectors and suppliers to ensure compliance with Quality Plans, ITPs and ISO 9001, driving continual improvement and risk mitigation.

Applicants should be UK based with relevant offshore wind or major infra experience.

Qualifications

To provide project-specific quality assurance and quality control support for the Dogger Bank South Project across development, procurement, fabrication, construction, installation, commissioning and handover activities. The role supports the implementation of project quality requirements by working with package managers, contractors, suppliers, inspectors and project teams to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, Project Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans and applicable quality standards. The role provides Masdar-side quality assurance through surveillance, audit support, document review, performance monitoring, non-conformance management and continual improvement across project delivery activities.

Responsibilities

Contribution to delivery of Quality Strategy of GOFSW SPV projects

• Support the delivery of Masdar’s project objectives for Dogger Bank South by contributing to effective quality assurance and quality control across assigned project package(s).
• Ensure quality risks, contractual requirements, inspection requirements and project quality obligations are identified, implemented and monitored throughout project delivery.
• Support alignment between Masdar expectations, DBS project requirements, MASDAR and RWE quality arrangements, contractor quality plans and relevant ISO 9001 principles.

Management of GOFSW Quality Scope

• Support implementation of DBS project and package quality plan/requirements across assigned project activities.
• Review contractor and supplier quality documentation including Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans, procedures, inspection reports, manufacturing records and handover documentation, including for fabrication facilities, as required.
• Support project and package teams in applying DBS project quality requirements during procurement, fabrication, construction, installation and commissioning activities.
• Engage with contractors, suppliers, inspectors and package managers to ensure quality requirements are understood, implemented and monitored.
• Coordinate quality reporting and quality performance monitoring activities across assigned project packages.
• Conduct and support quality audits, inspections and surveillance activities to verify compliance with project requirements.
• Identify quality risks that may affect project delivery and support development of mitigation measures.
• Support management of non-conformances, concessions, corrective actions and lessons learned.
• Maintain project quality issue tracking and support timely close-out of open actions.
• Escalate significant quality concerns through appropriate project governance arrangements.

Oversight of Project SPV Quality Scope

• Support the delivery of project-specific Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) for offshore construction activities, aligned with project requirements.
• Monitor and report quality performance metrics, including incident rates, observations, and compliance, while identifying trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Promote a proactive quality culture among project team, contractors and suppliers through targeted training and initiatives.
• Support DBS project teams and contractors in achieving project quality objectives and contractual quality requirements.

Incident Investigations and Root Cause Analysis

• Support investigations relating to quality non-conformances, defects, inspection findings, deviations and other quality-related issues.
• Facilitate root cause analysis and development of corrective and preventive actions whilst monitoring implementation and effectiveness.
• Support regulatory engagement and reporting requirements arising from quality incidents.
• Act as a project quality interface between Masdar, DBS project team, consents team, package managers, contractors, consultants, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Support timely communication, reporting and resolution of quality compliance matters, including consent commitments, permit conditions, audit findings, incident follow-up and contractor performance issues.

Comply with information security policies, procedures and requirements at all times

• Adhere to applicable Masdar and project-specific information security policies, procedures and requirements, particularly when handling project documentation, contractor records, quality documentation, inspection reports, audit findings and commercially sensitive project information.
• Protection of assets under care (e.g. laptops and other devices) and information/credentials against unauthorized access, sharing, and/or damage/loss, in accordance with the Information Classification and Handling Procedure.
• Clearing desk of all sensitive material and logging off/ locking workstations at the end of the day and when leaving desk for a prolonged period in accordance with Acceptable Usage Policies.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management or a related technical discipline.
• Relevant quality assurance and quality control training.
• GWO Certifications: Working at Heights, Sea Survival, Fire Awareness, First Aid, Manual Handling. OGUK Offshore Medical Certificate – Valid and up to date.
• CDM 2015 Awareness/Training – Understanding of roles and responsibilities under UK Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience supporting project quality assurance and quality control activities within offshore wind, renewable energy, construction or major infrastructure projects throughout development, construction, and operational phases, including contractor and supply chain quality assurance.
• Experience implementing Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001 requirements.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience reviewing quality plans, inspections, and test plans and quality records, with at least 2–3 years in offshore wind, marine infrastructure, or major infrastructure projects.
