Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an SQA Engineer to join a client team in the aerospace supply chain. You will conduct audits, maintain supplier lists, and ensure compliance with quality standards. Are you passionate about driving quality excellence in the aerospace supply chain? We’re looking for a SQA Engineer to join our client's team and ensure that all supplied products meet stringent quality and delivery standards.

What you’ll do:
  • Conduct product and system audits of nominated suppliers and resolve non-conformance issues.
  • Maintain and update the approved supplier list, including certifications and accreditations.
  • Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and implement improvement actions.
  • Assess potential new suppliers and support quality certification processes.
  • Investigate non-conformance issues and develop robust corrective actions.
  • Support suppliers with First Article Inspection (FAI) reports and sign-off processes.
What we’re looking for:
  • QA audit and engineering experience in Aerospace, Defence, or Automotive sectors.
  • Strong understanding of AS9100, CAA Part 21 Subpart G, and AS9120 standards.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a structured, methodical approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
  • HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical training.

The role requires travel across the UK, visiting suppliers and you will need to also be able to commute to the Denham office when required.

You’ll play a key role in supplier development and quality assurance, working on innovative projects that make a real impact in the aerospace industry.
