Job summary

Ocho in Belfast is seeking a QA Engineer to join a world-leading financial markets technology organisation. You will own automation tests, contribute to test strategy, and help scale CI/CD pipelines with AI-assisted testing tools.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with CI and CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Embed quality across every sprint and collaborate with Product Owners, developers and other QA engineers.
• Build and maintain automated test suites and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Validate reliability and performance of distributed cloud-native systems in live markets.

• Playwright, BDD, Cucumber, CI and CD pipeline integration and AI assisted testing

The Role and What It Can Do For Your Career

This is a QA Engineer position within a high performing Agile engineering team, working closely with Product Owners, developers and fellow QA engineers to embed quality across every sprint. You will contribute to test strategy, build and maintain automated test suites, integrate tests into CI and CD pipelines and validate the reliability and performance of systems that operate in live global financial markets.

What you will need:

• Experience in QA or software testing with a solid focus on automation
• Hands on experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or similar
• Experience or strong interest in BDD frameworks such as Cucumber
• Familiarity with CI and CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
• Experience with API and functional testing
• Good understanding of software development and testing lifecycles in Agile environments
• Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience using AI tools such as Copilot or Amazon Q in testing workflows
• Experience with performance or load testing tools such as K6 or JMeter
• Exposure to AWS, microservices or serverless architectures
• Formal testing qualifications such as ISTQB
