Job summary

Bracknell Forest Council is seeking a Quality Assurance Commissioner to lead quality activity across adult social care providers. You will drive continuous improvement, manage provider concerns and shape commissioning priorities in a hybrid role based from Time Square, Bracknell.

Primary responsibilities include audits, improvement planning and close collaboration with CQC and other authorities to ensure safe, effective services and value for money for residents.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality assurance activity across a portfolio of adult social care providers and contracts.
• Work proactively with providers to drive continuous improvement and address areas of concern.
• Manage and coordinate Provider Concern processes where quality issues arise.
• Develop, implement and monitor improvement plans, ensuring measurable and sustainable progress.
• Undertake audits, quality reviews and monitoring activity to assess service performance and evidence impact.
• Build strong partnerships with providers, colleagues and key stakeholders across the health and social care system.
• Work closely with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and neighbouring authorities to promote quality improvement and market oversight.
• Contribute to the strategic development of services and help shape future commissioning priorities.

If so, we are seeking a Quality Assurance Commissioner to join our highly regarded Adults Strategic Commissioning team.

This newly created role offers the chance to make a real difference by driving quality improvement to ensure residents receive the high-quality services they deserve. You will work directly with providers, partners and regulatory bodies to influence outcomes, support innovation and raise standards across the sector.

This role involves hybrid working arrangements, with an expectation to work from our Time Square office or in the community for around four days each week, including time spent visiting provider services.

You will work alongside providers to identify opportunities for improvement, lead quality assurance activity, support service development and help shape a sustainable and high-performing care market.

Working alongside Commissioners, operational colleagues, providers and system partners, you will contribute to the design, development and continuous improvement of services across the local care market.
