A leading engineering company is seeking a Quality Assistant / Engineer in Pudsey. You will support the Quality Manager, ensuring adherence to quality standards through inspections and audits. About the Job

Job Title: Quality Assistant / Engineer

Location: Pudsey

Salary: -. per hour depending on experience

Job type: Full Time, Permanent - hours per week.

The Role

A Quality Assistant at Schunk Carbon Technology Ltd will work closely with the Quality Manager (QM). The assistant supports the quality, environmental and health and safety functions, conducting daily patrols and final inspections across production cells and reporting any issues directly to the QM.

Main Tasks
  • Work with the QM and ensure that the policies outlined in the quality & environmental manual under ISO1 / and the operational details are practised effectively.
  • Conduct patrol inspections in the different production units.
  • Conduct final inspections in the different production units.
  • Conduct internal calibration of equipment.
  • Participate in quality system audits internally.
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience working closely with the production teams, QM and managers.
  • Professional handling of customer documentation.
  • Useful technical knowledge in mechanical engineering.
  • Experience with manual internal and external measuring equipment.
  • Knowledge of surface testing.
  • Good software skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP.
  • Coordinate measuring machine knowledge and capability.
