Job summary

Pod Talent is recruiting a Quality Assistant (12 month FTC) in London. The role supports product safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement within a global food manufacturer’s quality function.

You will coordinate customer questionnaires, assist with audits, handle complaints, and drive data-driven quality reporting across a complex supply chain.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in a quality, technical, or R&D role within the food, ingredients, or supplements industry.
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance processes and safety standards.
• Knowledge of food legislation and labelling requirements.
• Strong understanding of BRC, HACCP, GMP standards.
• Experience with supplier quality and audit processes.
• Full permanent right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain customer questionnaire requests, tracing and monitoring progress through internal systems
• Complete technical forms using regulatory, supplier, and product information to meet agreed service levels
• Support customer complaint handling and drive timely resolution
• Identify trends and provide reporting on quality performance
• Take ownership of customer online portals, responding to technical queries relating to ingredients, product specs, quality, safety, and regulatory matters
• Coordinate third party lab testing and analysis, including sample submissions, reporting, and follow up activities

You’ll work cross-functionally to investigate issues, support audits, and drive continuous improvement across a complex supply chain environment.
