Energievo have an extensive street lighting business that manages over 1 million street lights across the UK and Ireland and through design, project management, consultancy, installation, and maintenance we play a major role in reducing energy consumption and carbon footprints helping towns and cities become smarter, greener and more efficient which benefits us all.

What will I be doing in this role?

We’re looking for a Quality & Compliance Manager to take full ownership of compliance for our National Highways framework within Enerveo’s Highways Electrical division. This is a new role, giving you the opportunity to establish processes, procedures, and systems from the ground up. You’ll shape how we manage compliance across our projects, ensuring everything we deliver is safe, efficient, and meets the highest regulatory and contractual standards. You’ll be the go‑to expert for all things compliance — from maintaining our ISO 9001 and National Highways Sector Scheme standards to managing audits, liaising with stakeholders, and continuously improving how we work.

What you’ll be doing
  • Lead Compliance Management: Take ownership of all compliance across the National Highways framework, keeping key registers up to date, ensuring adherence to ISO standards, NHSS, DMRB, and CDM Regulations, and working closely with National Highways and regulatory bodies to maintain strong governance.
  • Shape Audit Planning: Develop and deliver a risk‑based internal and external audit programme, aligning with Enerveo’s Operational Excellence framework and responding proactively to emerging issues.
  • Drive Audit Execution: Lead audits and in‑process checks, collaborate with operational teams, identify opportunities for improvement, produce high‑quality reports with corrective actions, and carry out special investigations as needed.
  • Oversee & Collaborate: Provide expert oversight of internal and third‑party audits, review outputs for quality and consistency, and work closely with other assurance teams to coordinate activity and maximise impact.
  • Monitor, Report & Communicate: Track progress of audits and compliance KPIs, manage updates via online portals like CEMAR, and produce clear, insightful reports and presentations to highlight risks, share best practices, and drive continuous improvement.
What do I need to be successful in the role?

You’ll join us with a background in corporate auditing, and be just as comfortable updating online portals and maintaining compliance records as you are being client‑facing and taking a big‑picture view of compliance and quality improvement.

We would love to see the following on your CV;
  • ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience in a senior compliance, quality, or internal audit role.
  • Strong understanding of National Highways frameworks, ISO standards, and Sector Schemes.
  • Understanding of the 3 Lines of Defence Corporate Governance Model.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop new processes and embed best practice.
  • A collaborative, hands‑on approach with a passion for doing things the right way.
  • We do need you to have a full UK Driving Licence as we cover a wide range of locations.
Some of our ‘nice to haves’ are;
  • A background in Highways Electrical.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
