A manufacturing company in Leicester seeks a Calibration Engineer. The role involves ensuring measurement accuracy, conducting calibrations, and providing technical support. The Calibration Engineer is responsible for ensuring the precision and accuracy of measurement instruments and equipment across the business working to existing and to further developing our calibration procedures, and maintaining compliance with our procedures and industry standards. Conform and work to Calibration Procedures: Create, improve and execute calibration protocols for various measurement and testing equipment to ensure precision and accuracy according to company and industry standards. Perform Routine Calibration: Conduct regular calibration and adjustment of instrumentation and equipment to minimize measurement errors and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. Document Calibration Results: Maintain detailed records of calibration procedures, results, and corrective actions taken, ensuring traceability and compliance with quality management systems. Input and maintain Gaugemanagement software. Technical Support and Training: Provide technical support and training to staff on the proper use of calibrated equipment, enhancing operational efficiency and reducing the risk of errors. Collaboration: Work with quality teams to identify and rectify potential issues in measurement processes, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Liaise with all departments within the business to ensure timely calibration of all required equipment. Evaluate Calibration Equipment: Assess and select calibration equipment and software, considering factors such as accuracy, efficiency, and compatibility with existing systems. Quality Inspection: Active Quality Inspection work for final release approval of products to business demands. Other Quality / Business Duties: Be prepared to carry out other duties as required and requested by the company.
