Job description

Join us as an Apprentice Quality Administrator and make an invaluable contribution to our Food Safety & Biosecurity!

As a Quality Apprentice you’ll play a key role in supporting our ISO‑accredited Scientific and Quality Teams. You’ll assist with maintaining and managing quality documentation and records while contributing to our continuous improvement initiatives. Throughout your apprenticeship you’ll work closely with the Quality Team and the Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager. You’ll also be studying toward a Level 4 Quality Practitioner qualification.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Provide high‑quality support to the Quality Team and ISO‑accredited Scientific Business Units helping ensure standards are consistently met.
  • Respond to enquiries and help resolve issues, knowing when to escalat[e] more complex queries to ensure a timely and effective service.
  • Take part in team meetings to learn how different departments work together and contribute to shared goals.
  • Support colleagues by covering tasks during absences, helping maintain smooth operations.
  • Maintain a professional courteous and helpful attitude when working with both colleagues and customers.
  • Study online with CSR group, working toward a Level 4 Quality Practitioner qualification, gaining knowledge in quality planning, assurance, control and continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for:
  • A Level 3 qualification (such as A‑Levels or equivalent) plus 4 GCSEs at grade 4 / C or above including English and Maths.
  • A proactive mindset with a genuine interest in improving processes and contributing to business success.
  • A strong enthusiasm for science and a desire to learn in a practical real‑world environment.
  • Confident IT skills.
  • The ability to manage your time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic.
