Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a QTS Teacher for a specialist school in Westbury, supporting pupils aged 11 to 18 with ASD/SEMH needs. The role is full-time, temporary, long-term, starting September, with daily rates between £145 and £245 and PAYE processing.

You will plan and deliver lessons for EHCP pupils, maintain structured discipline, and nurture students' confidence in learning within a small-class environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with QTS and secondary teaching experience.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist school in Westbury supporting pupils aged 11 to 18 who have faced challenges within previous educational settings. The school provides small class sizes and a supportive environment where pupils are encouraged to rebuild their confidence, develop positive relationships with learning and recognise their individual strengths.

The school is seeking a QTS Teacher to join them from September on a full-time, TEMPORARY, long-term basis. The successful QTS Teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans / EHCPs, primarily supporting students with ASD and SEMH needs while maintaining clear expectations, effective classroom management and a consistent approach to learning.

The successful QTS Teacher will have:

• QTS / Qualified Teacher Status
• Experience teaching pupils at secondary level
• Experience supporting pupils with ASD and/or SEMH needs
• A strong understanding of Education, Health and Care Plans / EHCPs
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• A resilient, patient and adaptable approach to teaching
