Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to fill the Team Manager role in Tameside. You will oversee a Duty and Assessment team, ensuring high standards of support and service for children in need, while building strong relationships with families and partner agencies. This is a contract role with a pay rate of up to £46 per hour.

Qualified Social Worker, Team Manager, Duty and Assessment Team

Pay rate to £46 per hour

Contract role

We are recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to work as a Team Manager in a Duty and Assessment team in Tameside.

Job Purpose

For this role you will have considerable experience of working with children and their families in a statutory social care environment, specifically managing and supporting social workers and ASYEs, and a wealth of experience supervising complex caseloads on a busy team. As Team Manager you will be responsible for a team providing assessment, planning and intervention services to children in need of a statutory assessment.

With fantastic leadership skills and attributes, you will ensure your team members are well supported and equipped to succeed. We expect you to have extensive frontline experience as well as a solid track record of managing and developing a team. Building positive relationships is important not just with the children, young people and families we work with but also with colleagues and external partner agencies.

You will offer a high level of support and challenge to your social workers and inspire your teams to do their very best for Tameside children.
