What You Will Do
  • Manage a caseload of children with plans for permanence, ensuring each care arrangement is safe, secure, and effective.
  • Conduct statutory visits, reviews, and assessments to monitor progress and promote the best outcomes.
  • Collaborate with foster carers, adopters, and multi-agency professionals to maintain placement stability and positive development.
  • Develop and review care and pathway plans, ensuring they are tailored to each child’s needs and aspirations.
  • Provide direct emotional and practical support to children and families, fostering resilience and well-being.
  • Contribute to permanence panels and quality assurance processes, ensuring high standards of care and compliance.
  • Prepare detailed reports for multi-agency meetings and court proceedings, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
  • Work closely with Independent Reviewing Officers (IROs) to ensure timely progression of care plans.
  • Support smooth transitions for young people moving towards Leaving Care or Adulthood Services.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive case records using the Council’s digital management system.
  • Champion the voice of the child, ensuring their perspectives shape every care decision.
  • Engage in reflective supervision and continuous improvement activities to enhance practice quality.
  • Share best practice and contribute to service development within the wider team.
