Overview

Qualified Social Worker - Ealing - Mental Health Social Care – Reviews Team - £32 ph

  • Location: Ealing
  • Team: Mental Health Social Care – Reviews Team
  • Pay Rate: £32.00 per hour
  • Contract: Ongoing

We are seeking experienced and committed Social Workers to join the Mental Health Social Care Team in Ealing’s Reviews Unit. This is a specialist service working under the Care Act (2014) to assess, review, and support adults with primary mental health needs across the borough.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete Care Act assessments and reviews
  • Develop person-centred, strengths-based support plans
  • Undertake Mental Capacity Act assessments
  • Write Social Circumstances Tribunal reports
  • Carry out the role of Social Supervisor for conditionally discharged s37/41 patients
  • Act as Safeguarding Enquiry Officer, investigating concerns alongside Safeguarding Adults Managers
  • Manage Court of Protection (Schedule 21A) challenges where applicable
  • Participate in a duty rota to manage new referrals, screen safeguarding alerts, and respond to service users and professionals
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
  • Strong understanding of Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Mental Health Act 1983 (amended 2007), Human Rights Act 1998
  • Skilled in professional curiosity, strengths-based working, and outcome-focused practice
  • Robust assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to manage cases within timescales
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team setting
