Role Overview

Neway are seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join the Children with Disabilities Social Work Team with our client at Achieving for Children. Achieving for Children is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join their Children and Young People with Disabilities (CYPD) team in Windsor & Maidenhead. This locum role is to cover an extended period of authorised leave and is expected to last a minimum of 3 months.

You’ll play a vital role in supporting children and young people aged 0–18 with disabilities, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and access to the services they need to thrive.

Hours per Week: 37

Working Hours: 09:00 – 17:00

Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of children and young people with disabilities
  • Undertake assessments, care planning, and reviews in line with statutory requirements
  • Work closely with families, carers, and multi‑agency partners
  • Prepare high‑quality reports for reviews, planning meetings, and court proceedings
  • Advocate for the voices and rights of children and young people
  • Maintain accurate and timely case records
Requirements
  • Qualified Social Worker with active Social Work England registration
  • Experience working with children and families, ideally within disability services
  • Strong understanding of the Children Act 1989/2004 and related legislation
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and report‑writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi‑disciplinary team
  • Car driver with daily access to a vehicle for business use
