Join us as a Qualified Social Worker in the Adults Community Team within the South Derbyshire Adult Social Work Team, based in Swadlincote. We are seeking experienced Social Workers for an initial three-month full-time locum contract, with a strong possibility of extension. Carry out Care Act (2014) assessments through face-to-face and telephone-based work, ensuring timely recording and high-quality case management.
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with partner agencies to maximise service user independence and wellbeing.
Manage a complex caseload autonomously, ensuring all statutory duties under the Care Act (2014) are met.
Provide Duty cover, responding to changing priorities and managing work based on risk and urgency.
Lead on Section 42 Safeguarding enquiries and chair multi-agency meetings, including Multi-Agency Adult Risk Management (MARM) meetings.
Complete Mental Capacity Act (2005) assessments and chair Best Interest meetings, with opportunities for further training and development in these areas.
