Carry out Care Act 2014 assessments, providing personalised care planning and support.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to meet complex mental health and social care needs.
Lead and undertake safeguarding enquiries under Section 42 of the Care Act.
Support hospital discharges and community reintegration.
Advocate for recovery, independence, and access to local resources.
Perform Mental Health Act assessments, ensuring lawful and ethical decision-making.
Participate in the AMHP rota, including potential out-of-hours duties.
Offer expert advice on Mental Health Act procedures to colleagues and partner agencies.
Contribute to multi-agency safeguarding and risk management forums.
Take part in supervision, CPD, audits, and service improvement projects within GMMH.
Recognised Social Work qualification and current registration with Social Work England.
Approved AMHP status.
Substantial post-qualification experience in adult mental health.
Strong understanding of the Mental Health Act 1983 (amended 2007), the Care Act 2014, and safeguarding frameworks.
